Let's end breast cancer together
One year ago, I received a call at 4:30pm while in office that changed my life forever. Never in a million years did I think that I would have breast cancer just a few months shy of turning 30. You don’t realize how things can change in the blink of an eye.
I could have never imagined then where that journey was going to take me. The past year has taught me so much and tested me in ways I never expected, but it has also shown me strength, resilience, and purpose that I didn’t know I had.
Today, I am proud to be both a survivor and a member of the Komen family, working alongside an organization whose mission has become deeply personal to me.
Organizations like Susan G. Komen make a difference everyday by funding life saving research, providing patient support services, helping individuals access care, and ensuring that those facing breast cancer have someone in their corner.
This year, I am participating in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in October and raising money to help create a future where no one has to hear the words "You have breast cancer." Progress happens because people choose to show up for one another!
Every dollar makes a meaningful impact and brings us closer to ending breast cancer. Thank you for supporting the mission and for creating hope for those still in the fight.
