Our Story

About The Team & Why We’re Walking

Welcome to our Team page. This story is about Pamala Chantarasiri, and on October 25, 2026, I’m proud to participate in the Susan G. Komen Walk on her behalf. This cause is deeply personal to our team because Pamala was living her best life when she was suddenly diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in November 2022. Her cancer later progressed to Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in 2025.

Pamala’s strength and courage inspired her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Despite the shock of progressing from Stage 2 to Stage 4, she faced every treatment—including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and more—with grit and determination. Throughout her journey, she was cared for by the amazing doctors, nurses, and support staff at Texas Oncology. Although the journey was long, she was never alone. She showed us what true resilience looked like.

Pamala was light, laughter, and joy.

Even while facing metastatic breast cancer, she continued to shine. With extraordinary courage and strength, Pamala brought warmth, love, and laughter to everyone around her. Cancer was part of her journey, but it never defined the vibrant, beautiful person she was.

Pamala passed away on December 6, 2025 leaving behind a light that will never fade. Her joy lives on in every life she touched, every laugh she shared, and every cherished memory held by those who loved her.

We are walking not only for Pamala, but also for all women and families impacted by breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer. This disease affects more than just the patient; it touches entire families, friendships, and communities.

We are raising funds in Pamala’s honor to support Susan G. Komen’s work to advance better treatments and, ultimately, find cures for breast cancer. Donations also help provide patients and families with financial assistance, personalized care navigation, education, emotional support, and access to essential resources throughout their cancer journey.

Every donation honors Pamala’s life and brings hope to those still facing this disease. Please join us in celebrating her memory. Together, we can carry her light forward and help create a future where no family has to lose someone they love to breast cancer.

Our Goal

We’ve set a goal to raise $2,500 for Susan G. Komen to fund groundbreaking research, support patients with MBC, and bring us closer to a world without breast cancer.

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Together, we can honor survivors, support those still fighting, and remember the loved ones we've lost.
