Today, I am a breast cancer survivor.

And on October 17th, I will be walking in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk in Denver, Colorado, with a heart full of gratitude.

I'm walking to celebrate the gift of life.

I'm walking for those who are still fighting.

I'm walking in memory of dear friends I have lost to breast cancer and other cancer-related causes.

And I'm walking with the hope that my story might encourage someone else to keep believing, keep fighting, and keep trusting God.

My journey is a reminder to me that God can carry us through things we never imagined we would have to face.
