My Story
At the beginning of this year, I heard the words no one ever expects to hear: "You have breast cancer". Since then life has been a whirlwind - full of doctors appointments, surgery, recovery, chemotherapy treatments, and more uncertainty than I ever imaged. I have definitely had difficult days, emotional days and days that I have had to find my strength when I didn't realize it was still there. Through it all, I have been surrounded by an incredible group of family and friends. I truly would not have been able to get through this time without each one of you.
So I decided to join the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk because this fight is now deeply personal. I am walking for myself, for all the women who came before me, for those currently facing this battle, and for those who will hear that diagnosis in the future. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Every donation helps support research, patient services, education and advocacy that make a difference in the lives of those impacted by breast cancer.
As I continue my own journey through treatment and recovery, I am choosing to turn this challenge into something bigger than myself. Each step I take on race day will be filled with gratitude, hope and determination.
Thank you for supporting me, my team and this cause that means to much to my heart. Whether you donate, walk beside me, or simply share words of encouragement, your support means more than I can express.
Love,
Alli
