In February 2025 at the age of 39, I was diagnosed with HER2+ invasive ductal carcinoma, and my journey began. I completed surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and a full year of targeted therapy, finishing in July 2026.

Today I am NED — no evidence of disease — and deeply grateful that I had access to healthcare and to early screening before the age of 40.

I worked through my entire treatment. Bills don't pause for cancer, and neither does the rest of your life — so I know firsthand the financial and emotional pressure that comes with a diagnosis, on top of everything your body is already going through. Not everyone has the support to carry all of that at once, and no one should have to carry it alone.

I am walking for myself. I am walking for every woman impacted by this disease. And I am walking to honor those we have lost, whose lives and contributions to medical research paved the way for the treatments that saved mine. Every woman deserves access to screening and healthcare.
