About a month ago, our lives changed drastically. What began as a trip to the emergency room for stomach pain led to a diagnosis we never expected: inoperable breast cancer.

Never in a million years did I imagine I would be caring for my mom as she battles this disease. It has already been an incredibly emotional journey, and the hardest part is still ahead as she prepares to begin chemotherapy next week.

Being surrounded by others who understand what we’re going through—and who are fighting the same battle—will bring us comfort, strength, and hope. We are grateful to walk alongside this community in support of my mom, Lucy.
