Tarsha Moves by Faith
In May 2026, I heard four words that changed my life: “You have breast cancer.”
I had been putting off my mammogram. About two weeks before my appointment, I felt a gentle tap from the Holy Spirit telling me it was time to stop putting it off. I listened.
On May 12, I had my mammogram. Within days, I was called back for additional imaging and a biopsy. On May 20, I received my diagnosis.
Thankfully, my cancer was caught very early. The invasive portion measured only 0.4 millimeters. I underwent a lumpectomy in June, followed by 15 radiation treatments, and on September 4, I rang that bell. 🎀🔔
This journey has strengthened my faith and taught me something I’ll carry forever: faith moves. Sometimes it’s a giant leap, and sometimes it’s simply listening to that quiet tap and taking the next step.
That is why our team is called Tarsha Moves by Faith.
On October 10, my family, friends, and I are walking not only to celebrate my journey, but for every woman currently fighting, every survivor, every family affected by breast cancer, and in memory of those we’ve lost.
And if my story does nothing else, I hope it reminds one woman reading this:
Please schedule your mammogram. Don’t keep putting it off. Early detection matters.
