It was unbelievable to hear that I had cancer. It was even worse to hear that my boss and friend also had it. Having each other to go through this crazy process with, made things a little bit easier and I am thankful for Lorie. After getting over the initial shock, Lorie joked that we made a full set, mine was in my right breast and hers was in the left breast. Laughter definitely made it easier to go through, and we made sure we laughed often. I will always say, I was sad we both had cancer, but happy we had each other. By God's grace, cancer is behind both of us and we want to do our part to help end breast cancer forever.
