My Story
#SadeStrong — I WALK BECAUSE I SURVIVED. I WALK BECAUSE I’M STILL HERE.
A year ago, my life changed in a way I never expected. I heard the words “You have breast cancer.” And just like that, everything I thought I knew about life, my future, and my strength looked different.
I faced fear. I faced tears. I faced chemotherapy, surgery, pain, uncertainty, and days when I honestly didn’t know how I was going to keep going. But through every appointment, every difficult day, and every moment I wanted to break down, God kept giving me strength.
Today, I don’t walk because the journey was easy.
I walk because I made it through.
I walk for the woman who just heard “cancer” for the first time.
I walk for the women still fighting.
I walk for the survivors.
I walk for the families who stood beside their loved ones.
And I walk in honor of every beautiful soul who fought but didn’t get the chance to finish their journey.
My scars tell a story. My survival tells an even greater one.
If my journey has taught me anything, it’s that life is precious, tomorrow is never promised, and sometimes the strongest version of you is born in the middle of your hardest battle.
I’m asking my family, friends, and everyone who has followed my journey to help me make a difference. Please consider donating to my breast cancer walk. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps support awareness, research, treatment, and women fighting this disease.
Donate. Share. Walk with me. Stand with me.
Because breast cancer may have changed my life, but it did not get the final say.
I’m here. I’m grateful. I’m still standing. And I’m walking for those who can’t.
