My Story

On June 18, 2025, my life changed forever when I was diagnosed with de novo Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Since my diagnosis, I have undergone hormone therapy and CDK4/6 inhibitor treatment as I continue to navigate life with metastatic breast cancer. While this journey is not one I ever expected, being diagnosed as a mom of four young children has changed the way I live. It has taught me to be more intentional with my time, to cherish the ordinary moments, and to live fully in the midst of uncertainty.

One of the ways I’m choosing to live fully is by training for a half marathon this October. Some days are harder than others, but every mile reminds me that I am still here, still moving forward, and still making memories with the people I love.

Through all of this, the support of our family, friends, work colleagues, and church community has been nothing short of amazing. We have been surrounded by people who have prayed for us, encouraged us, supported our family, and walked alongside us through some of the hardest moments of our lives.

Metastatic breast cancer is currently incurable. For those of us living with Stage 4 disease, research is critical—not only toward finding a cure, but toward developing better treatments that allow us to manage this disease and live longer, fuller lives with the people we love.

I’m walking because I want to help change that future—for myself, for my children, and for every person living with metastatic breast cancer.

Thank you for walking alongside me, supporting research, and helping bring hope to families like mine. Every donation truly makes a difference.
