There was a time when the words "You have breast cancer" stopped me in my tracks.

In an instant, life became a series of doctor's appointments, treatments, sleepless nights, and unanswered questions. There were days I felt scared, overwhelmed, and uncertain about what the future would hold.

But there was also hope.

Hope from my family and friends who stood beside me. Hope from the medical teams who cared for me. Hope from the researchers, advocates, and supporters who have dedicated themselves to helping people like me survive and thrive.

Today, I am grateful to say I am a breast cancer survivor.

That's why I'm participating in the 2026 Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk.

I walk for the woman who was just diagnosed and is wondering if she'll be okay. I walk for those still fighting battles no one can see. I walk in memory of those who should still be here. And I walk because I know firsthand that every step, every dollar, and every act of support matters.
