Tribe is More Than Pink

We are Tribe — a circle of women, family, and friends who showed up, linked arms, and walked beside Brett through every twist and turn of her breast cancer journey. What started as a simple group text (from someone who openly admits she hates group texts) quickly became a lifeline of updates, jokes, prayers, wig reviews, insurance rants, and love.

When Brett was diagnosed, we became her Tribe — the people who listened, laughed, prayed, researched, delivered meals, sat through long chemo days, and reminded her that she was stronger than anything cancer could throw at her. We celebrated benign biopsies, cheered through chemo cycles, welcomed her wig sisters Michelle and Bobbie, and hyped her up when she shaved her head and turned it into a moment of power instead of fear.

We watched her fight with grit, humor, and a level of resilience that inspired all of us. And after nine months of chemo, surgery, radiation, and more scans than any human should ever have to endure, Brett heard the words we had all been praying for: no evidence of cancer. She is officially in remission — and officially a survivor.

Now, Tribe is walking together in the Komen Breast Cancer Walk to honor that fight, celebrate her healing, and support everyone still battling this disease. We walk for Brett. We walk for the women we’ve lost. We walk for the women who will face this diagnosis tomorrow. And we walk because community, research, and early detection save lives.

Tribe isn’t just a team — it’s a movement of love, strength, humor, and sisterhood. And we’re proud to show up, step out, and walk with survivor energy leading the way.

Thank you for supporting Tribe. Thank you for supporting Brett. And thank you for helping us push toward a future where breast cancer is beatable for everyone
