Purpose in Pink
Some people walk for fitness. Some walk for fun.
We walk with purpose.
This year, I’m honored to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure as captain of Team Purpose in Pink.
Professionally, I serve as President of the AAPC Dallas, Georgia Chapter, where I have the privilege of supporting healthcare professionals who help ensure patients receive accurate documentation and coding. As many in healthcare know, this year brings significant updates to OB/GYN coding—reminding us that behind every diagnosis, procedure, and code is a person, a family, and a story.
That perspective is one of the reasons this cause is so meaningful to me.
Breast cancer has touched my family personally. I’ve lost loved ones to this disease, and their lives, memories, and strength inspire every step I take.
Purpose in Pink represents hope, remembrance, compassion, and action. Every step honors those we’ve lost, celebrates survivors, supports those currently fighting, and gives hope to future generations.
Whether you choose the 5K Run/Walk or the 1K Walk, I invite you to join Team Purpose in Pink. You don’t have to be a healthcare professional or an AAPC member—if you believe in supporting those affected by breast cancer and helping fund the search for a cure, there’s a place for you on our team.
If you’re unable to participate, I would be grateful for your support through a tax-deductible donation to Susan G. Komen. Every contribution helps fund groundbreaking research, patient support, financial assistance, and life-changing resources for individuals and families facing breast cancer.
Together, we can turn purpose into impact.
Every step matters. Every dollar matters. Every life matters.
Join Team Purpose in Pink, and let’s move one step closer to a world without breast cancer.
