Before breast cancer became part of my story, I knew people who had faced it. I cared. I supported. I understood as much as I could from the outside.
But it feels different when that person becomes you.
This year, I was diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer, a type that can be harder to detect and still needs more research, awareness, and attention. My journey has reminded me how important it is for women to get their mammograms, pay attention to changes in their bodies, and speak up when something does not feel right.
I’m walking with Susan G. Komen because I support their mission to end breast cancer and help fund research, patient support, and resources for those facing this disease.
Healing in Real Time is more than a team name. It is where I am right now: learning, healing, and walking forward one step at a time.
Please consider joining my team or making a donation in support of my fundraising efforts. Together, we can help move closer to a world without breast cancer.
