My Story

Welcome to the Champ's Corner!

Hi, Family & Friends,

Breast cancer took my grandmother. It took my mother, too. She was only 46 years old when she passed away. I am 44 right now. There's a Grace on my life, I got a story to tell you.

After 21 years of faithful screenings, I got the call that changes everything: "You have breast cancer." BI-RADS 5. Triple-negative. Aggressive. Stage II. In that moment, I cried, I prayed, and I fell into complete shock.

But a "no" from this diagnosis cannot stop a "yes" from my spirit! I am currently in chemotherapy, I am fighting, and I am still standing. I put my big girl bra on, and I am not stopping now. I am fighting for the chance my mother never got, and I refuse to waste it.

Why I Joined the Komen Community

This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
