Tribute to Tania is More Than Pink
On August 28, 2026 we lost our friend and colleague Tania Alarcon Montalvo after a long battle with breast cancer.
Tania was an amazing woman and physical therapist. Tania devoted a large portion of her career to treating women with breast cancer as she was a certified lymphedema therapist.
You may not have known Tania personally, but chances are that you know at least one person who has been affected by breast cancer.
As a tribute to Tania, and in support of all
of the other women who have or have dealt with breast cancer, Larae and I are organizing a fundraising effort.
The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments for breast cancer. Additionally, it will provide vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education and information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
