2026 Komen Greater NYC Race for the Cure

This year, I’m joining the Komen community and walking in the NYC Breast Cancer Walk as Team Cherry on Top, in honor of my mom.

My mom is once again going through breast cancer, making this her second journey with this disease. While this time the journey will longer and challenging from the first time, she has shown that she is even stronger than she was before. Through every appointment, treatment, and difficult day, she continues to move forward with a strength and determination that inspires me every day.

As her daughter, watching my mom go through this journey for a second time has been incredibly difficult. But seeing her continue to show up, stay strong, and keep going, not only for herself, but for her children and her grandchildren, has reminded me just how much courage and strength one person can have. I’m walking because I want a future where my family and generations to come don’t have to experience what my mom is going through. I want a future where no family has to hear the words, “You have cancer.” I’m asking you to please consider making a donation to support my fundraising efforts.
