Why We’re Fighting: Mikki’s Miracle

This team is deeply personal to me.

My mom, Mikki, is living with stage 4 triple negative metastatic breast cancer. For the past several years, I’ve watched her face this journey with a strength and faith that continues to amaze me. She has been through more than anyone should have to endure, yet she continues to fight, love, laugh, and keep moving forward.

My family’s connection to breast cancer goes back even further. My grandmother, Barbara Ann, lovingly known as “Sweet B,” lost her battle with breast cancer in 2001. So for our family, this isn’t just a race. It’s a fight that spans generations.

I created Mikki’s Miracle because my mom is exactly that, a miracle. And I want to honor her, honor my grandmother’s memory, and stand with every person and family whose lives have been changed by breast cancer.

Every step we take and every dollar we raise is a step toward better treatments, more support for families, and ultimately a world where no daughter has to watch her mother fight this disease.

We walk for Mikki.
We remember Sweet B.
We fight for every family affected by breast cancer.
And we believe in the miracle of a cure.
