Last year, hearing the words "you have breast cancer" completely shattered me. It was one of the hardest moments of my life, and it changed me in ways I never imagined. I was diagnosed with stage 0. Although, I was thankful to catch it so early and not have to do any chemo radiation or take medication It was still very scary because cancer is cancer no matter what stage.
As a breast cancer survivor, I know the fear, the uncertainty, and the strength it takes to keep moving forward. That's why I'm choosing to participate in the breast cancer walk-not only to celebrate how far I've come, but to honor every survivor, remember those we've lost, and stand beside those who are still fighting. Every step I take is a reminder that hope is stronger than fear, early detection saves lives, and no one should ever have to face this journey alone. I'm walking because I survived, and I'm walking so others know they're never alone in their fight.
