Earlier this year, my life changed in a way I never expected. I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
For a long time, I kept this part of my life very private. I shared it with my family and a few close friends and focused on getting through what I needed to get through.
Today, I feel very lucky to say that I am a survivor.
Participating in Race for the Cure is my way of marking this moment, not just as a reminder of what I’ve been through, but as a celebration of being here. It’s also a chance to honor the people who supported me along the way and to stand alongside the many others whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
Here’s to life after cancer!
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
