2026 Komen Detroit Race for the Cure

This team was created to honor the memory of Mrs. Lessie Jabari—a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and teacher whose kindness, warmth, and generosity touched everyone she met.

She was truly one of the best people we have ever known, and not a day goes by that we don't think of her. Her compassion, encouragement, and love made all of us better people, and we are incredibly grateful to have had her in our lives.

Today, we walk in her memory to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer, hoping to help prevent other families from experiencing the same loss. Cancer may have taken her from us far too soon, but it can never take away the impact she made or the light she brought into this world.

We walk to honor her legacy, celebrate her life, and keep her memory alive.
