Cancer was something I never imagined would become part of my story. Recently, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and my world changed in an instant. Since then, there have been countless appointments, tests, emotions, and difficult conversations—but also an incredible amount of love, support, and strength from the people around me.
As I continue this journey with my medical team at the University of Michigan, I am learning to take things one day at a time. There is still uncertainty ahead, and I know recovery will not be easy, but I am determined to face it with courage and hope.
Participating in the Susan G. Komen Race means so much more to me now. It represents strength, community, awareness, and the reminder that no one fights alone. Every step taken and every dollar raised supports those currently battling breast cancer, survivors continuing to heal, and future breakthroughs that can change lives.
I am deeply grateful for every message, prayer, donation, and act of kindness I have received. The support from my family, friends, coworkers, and community has carried me through some of the hardest days and reminded me that I am surrounded by love.
Thank you for standing beside me during this chapter of my life. Your support means more than words can express.
