2026 Komen Minnesota Race for the Cure

This team is incredibly personal to me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 at just 28 years old, a moment that completely changed my life. During my treatment, I had the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial through the Mayo Clinic - something that gave me hope and access to innovative care. That experience showed me firsthand how critical research funding is and why the work being done to advance breast cancer research truly matters. 

Being part of a clinical trial is one of the many reasons the work of Susan G. Komen is so meaningful to me. Their commitment to research, patient support, and advocacy truly makes a difference for those facing breast cancer and helps expand treatment options for patients like me. 

Today, I have the privilege of working for Susan G. Komen as part of the Go Pink for the Cure team, which has deepened my commitment even further. Being able to support fundraising efforts and partner with communities across the country is incredibly special, and it allows me to help further Komen's mission in finding a cure and living in a world without breast cancer. 

I created Mikki's Pink Party to celebrate survivorship, honor those we love, and support the ongoing fight against breast cancer. Whether you're walking in honor, in memory, or simply to make a difference, I'm so grateful you're here.

Every step we take together brings us a step closer to a world without breast cancer.
