This year, as a freshman in high school, I made the decision to be part of something bigger than myself by joining the Susan G. Komen community and participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Breast cancer isn’t just something I’ve heard about, it’s something that has touched my own family. My grandma faced breast cancer, and seeing that showed me how real and personal this fight is. But this isn’t just one story. I know friends, family members, and even classmates whose families are going through this too.

So many people are facing this battle and need support, someone by their side reminding them they’re not alone. That’s why I’m doing this. I want to be part of that support system. I want to help bring hope, strength, and change to people who need it most.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund life-saving research and provides real support to people going through some of the hardest moments of their lives. It means giving someone hope, access to care, and the reminder that they are not alone.
