As many of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2023. After sixteen months of treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy) I'm in remission. I even wrote a book about it (There's No Good Book For This But I Wrote One Anyway: The Irreverent Guide To Crushing Breast Cancer). 

If I hadn't gotten a regularly scheduled mammogram... I probably wouldn't be here, and this would be a very different fund-raising page. But I am here, and I am enjoying and making the most of every single second of bonus time that I've got, because I know that we can't ever take time for granted. I also want to give back to all the amazing warriors in the fight for their lives right now.

As of 2026, Susan G Komen has donated $3.6 billion to breast cancer research, community programs, advocacy, education, and patient support services - direct money to patients in need. 

Cancer is a jerk. We all know it's a jerk. Let's bully it back by raising money to help fund research and create communities to banish it. Forever.
