Team Story: Walking in Strength, Purpose & Sisterhood

Fifteen months ago, my life changed.

Today, I stand breast cancer free—and filled with gratitude, purpose, and a renewed commitment to live boldly.

That’s why I’m walking with Susan G. Komen.

This isn’t just a walk for me.

This is personal.

Breast cancer continues to impact far too many women—especially Black women, who face higher mortality rates and later diagnoses. Early detection and access to care can make all the difference. Organizations like Komen are working every day to save lives through research, education, and community support .

I’m inviting my sisters, colleagues, and fellow leaders from the Ohio Women’s Chamber of Commerce to walk with me—not just in celebration, but in purpose.

We walk for:

We walk to raise awareness.

We walk to support research.

We walk to remind every woman: early detection can save your life.

And yes—we’re bringing our full selves with us: strength, resilience, faith, and a whole lot of sisterhood.
