Three years ago, my life changed in a way I never saw coming.

My grandson was just an infant when he bumped my breast. It seemed like a small moment—but something didn’t feel right. I trusted that feeling. Even though I already had a mammogram scheduled two weeks later, I called the VA hospital and made an appointment immediately!

That decision changed everything.

The very same day, I was told it could be cancer.

In that moment, fear could have taken over—but I chose FAITH OVER FEAR!

My journey included chemotherapy and radiation. It wasn’t easy. There were days that tested me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. But through it all, I leaned on my faith and trusted God to carry me through.

And I was never alone.

I was surrounded by love and strength from my family, my friends, and my sisters of FIRE N ICE MC/SC and BLUE EMERALDS. Their support helped lift me during the hardest moments.

Today, I stand as a breast cancer survivor.

And now—I walk with purpose.

We walk to raise awareness.

We walk to encourage early detection.

We walk to support those still fighting.

We walk so no one has to face this journey alone.
