This walk is for my mom, Julia, our Pinky.

In April 2018, we learned that her breast cancer had returned as metastatic breast cancer. Just two months later, in June 2018, she passed. In that short time, she showed us what true strength, resilience, and love really look like.

Even while battling cancer, my mom kept going. She continued to work, stayed focused on her goals, and refused to let her diagnosis define her. She faced everything with determination and grace.

What stands out the most is the way she showed up for others. She was always there for her family, always thinking of others, always giving love and support no matter what she was going through.

We are walking in her honor through Susan G. Komen because her story matters and because no family should have to go through this.
