On December 22, 2020, my whole life changed.
I was given the devastating news that I had breast cancer. After a good cry, I pulled myself together, leaned on my family and friends, and fought with all I had.
Today, I am a 4-year breast cancer survivor. I am here because of the love that surrounded me and because of the groundbreaking research and treatments made possible by people like you. These advances not only saved my life, they continue to give me the best chance of avoiding a recurrence.
That’s why I’ve joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I’m walking not just for myself, but for the countless others who are in the fight now, and for those we’ve lost too soon.
I’m asking for your help. Every tax-deductible donation supports Komen’s mission to end breast cancer forever. Your generosity fuels life-saving research, provides financial assistance for patients, and connects people with the emotional and practical support they need to make it through.
Breast cancer doesn’t wait, and neither can we.
Please consider making a gift today! Let’s stand together to show those facing breast cancer that they are not alone, and that there is a whole community behind them, fighting for a future without this disease.
