Team Kathy is More Than Pink

When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2024, I thought I would wait to share the news until I rang the bell after completing radiation. Now that I face  a second surgery in August to clear the margins from one of the lymph nodes that was removed, I understand that my journey will be longer and harder than I anticipated.

So I've decided to join Susan G. Komen® in their mission to end breast cancer forever and am planning to walk the 5K on Sept.13 in Detroit. I personally benefited from a DNA test that showed chemo would not work for me, and I appreciate that Komen funds important research.
