Here we are, in the 5th year of the team, and the 2nd year of the Woodland Park Zoo walk!
AMAZING!
A few days after her 26th birthday, on August 6, 2019, our son's wife, Eliza Reid Erickson received news that made absolutely no sense. "You have an aggressive form of breast cancer. There are two tumors in your breast, and there are lymph nodes involved." Young, strong, healthy and with no family history, all of a sudden absolutely everything changed. Over the ensuing 14 months, she did everything imaginable to stay with us...to stay with her baby girl and her husband, with her Momma and her Daddy, and all the other friends and family who loved her. In October of 2020, we lost her, but we didn't lose her spirit. She is with us every day, and especially in the eyes of beautiful Logan, who is almost 7 years old now!
Over the past 5 years, this team has raised thousands of dollars in Eliza's name and in her honor, and I look forward to raising the bar again in 2024! I hope you can join Team Eliza & join us for a day at the Zoo on Saturday, September 28, 2024!!
As a member of this team, we are each playing a part in helping Susan G. Komen® in their mission to end breast cancer forever.
The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education & information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
