Andrea's Posse-tivity is More Than Pink

In April of 2020, at the start of the pandemic, I was diagnosed with stage III Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.  I went through a bilateral mastectomy, removal of a dozen cancerous lymph nodes, followed by 5 months of chemo and 5 weeks of radiation.  I was in remission for just over one year, until a follow up scan in the spring of 2022 revealed the cancer had returned and metastasized to the bones. With four tumors found in my spine, I now had a Stage IV terminal diagnosis.  I am now nearing the two-year mark of living with metastatic breast cancer and I am on my second line of treatment. I made it a goal to live as fully and presently as possible, continuously updating my bucket list and knocking as many things off as possible.

One thing on my bucket list has been to participate in a cancer walk! I am very excited to be registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on May 11th in Eagan.  I would love for any friends or family to join me if you are able or consider even a small donation to my fundraising efforts! We have created a team for the walk named "Andrea's Posse-tivity". This walk is very important to me and I am grateful that I am able to physically participate in such a great event that generates awareness and shows support to so many whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer!
