Union Pacific Railroad
Union Pacific Railroad safely and efficiently delivers the goods families and businesses rely on every day, connecting communities across 23 western states to the global economy. We’re equally committed to making a difference beyond our rails by supporting the people and communities we serve.
For more than 20 years, Union Pacific has partnered with Susan G. KomenŽ in the fight against breast cancer, a cause that impacts many across our workforce and communities — one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. We unveiled our No. 7400 Pink Ribbon Locomotive in 2010 to bring that commitment to life, featuring a flowing pink ribbon that symbolizes the strength and progress of the breast cancer awareness movement.
Our longstanding support is driven in part by our LEAD (Lead, Educate, Advocate, Develop) resource group. Since 2000, LEAD has helped grow participation in Komen’s More Than Pink Walks, expanding efforts across our network to support local affiliates.
In the last 12 years alone, Union Pacific has donated more than $1 million to support lifesaving breast cancer research and care. Together, Union Pacific employees continue to make a meaningful difference — advancing Komen’s mission while living our belief that we are truly powered by our people.
