About Volley for the Cure
Susan G. KomenŽ Volley for the Cure is a nationwide breast cancer awareness and fundraising initiative that partners with volleyball teams, schools, clubs, and communities. The program uses the sport of volleyball as a platform to honor those affected by breast cancer, raise critical funds for research and patient support, and educate participants about early detection and breast health.
Through themed matches and events—often featuring pink uniforms, ribbons, and awareness activities—teams dedicate a game or tournament to recognizing survivors, remembering those lost, and inspiring action. Funds raised through Volley for the Cure support Susan G. Komen’s mission to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
The program emphasizes unity, empowerment, and service, bringing athletes, coaches, fans, and families together around a shared cause both on and off the court.
