My Story
In 1993, while on at a family reunion, my grandmother's doctor contacted her to tell that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. That could have been the end of her story. But thanks to life-saving treatments, she was able to liver cancer free for another 25 plus years. Not only did she see me grow up, go off to college, but she experienced me getting married, have children, and obtaining my terminal degree. She died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 95 in 2022. She was the impactful matriarch of my family and left over 100 offspring.
