We said goodbye to our precious Karen almost 6 months ago. Now, as grieving continues, we are continuing to celebrate Karen by participating in this year’s Komen Columbus Race for the Cure.

Karen was victorious. She remained about more than her 32-month breast cancer journey. Karen will always be known as the person that valued family, friends, professionalism, pets, quilting, chocolate-making, fun, church, crafts, sports, Mustangs, prayer, flowers, inspirational messages, cards, gifts, bible study, tea parties, good restaurants, travel, shopping, hugs, smiles, laughter, and so much more. All that Karen represents is wrapped into FAITH – HOPE – LOVE.
For the past two years, we have participated in the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure. This year’s race will happen on Saturday, May 20. At this year’s Race, we are introducing the Karen Gandarillas Legacy as a bronze sponsor. The KG Legacy will promote the positive balance of science and personal principles to achieve victory in the breast cancer journey, continue our goal of finding a cure and ending breast cancer forever, and recognize Karen's many victories and strong principles.
Together, let's show breast cancer patients, care partners, caregivers, and survivors there's a whole community standing by their side with support for research, care, community and action.
