Do I get a t-shirt?
All registered participants will receive an event t-shirt. The shirts for survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will be in special colors to recognize their role in our event.
How will I get my t-shirt?
Those who register for the Minnesota Race for the Cure by Sunday, April 14, 2024 will receive their t-shirts in the mail prior to Race day, without exception. Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.

Race for the Cure® Event Day Schedule
8:00 a.m. | Day-of bib pick up and on-site registration opens
Be sure to pick up your bib if you haven’t already! Reminder: all participants in the 2024 Race for the Cure will be bibbed. Bibs need be picked up prior to the start of the one-mile or 5k. There will also be designated pre-event bib pick up locations. More details to come.

8:00 a.m. | Survivors and those living with Metastatic Breast Cancer meet at Hope Village
Don’t miss your opportunity to explore our space just for survivors and patients. We will have a special breakfast, and much more! Those living with breast cancer, patients, and survivors are welcome in this area and may bring one guest. This is also the gathering space for our Parade of Hope, which is a special celebration for survivors and takes place during our Opening Ceremony which starts at 9:30 a.m.
While in Hope Village make sure you grab a postcard on ShareForCures, Komen’s breast cancer research registry focused on finding the cures for breast cancer. Learn how you can accelerate discoveries, make an impact, and be a catalyst for change!

All Day Long | Race Where You Are
Can’t join us Race morning? Hop on the treadmill, take to your neighborhood sidewalks or the paths of your favorite local park or trail wherever you’re able to gather with friends, family, and team members near you.
Please note this is an outdoor walk and race event. If you have concerns about the weather or your ability to complete the course, we encourage you to participate through fundraising, virtual events that better meet your needs, or joining us in spaces that work for you on site. - Join us in the Hope Village area for a special breakfast, and pink roses provided by Costco of Burnsville. Those living with breast cancer, patients, and survivors are welcome in this area and may bring one guest. This is also the gathering space for our Parade of Hope, which is a special celebration for survivors and takes place during our Opening Ceremony which starts at 9:30 a.m.

VIPs — Individuals who raise $1,000+ and Teams who raise $2,500+
On event morning, follow the VIP signs to the area reserved just for you! We invite you to pop in and enjoy a complimentary light breakfast and drinks provided by our generous local partners. We will also have other fun ways to recognize you and your hard work. Plus, you will be in great company and can join our local Komen Board of Directors in this area!
What are the available distances?
The Minnesota Race for the Cure offers two distances: one-mile and 5k. You can walk or run either distance; all paces are welcome! All participants this year must wear a bib for safety reasons. The 5k distance will be certified. All those who register for the 5k will receive a bib with a timing chip, this chip allows not only for timing- but also finish line photographs!

Are strollers allowed at the event?
Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day!
Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?
Yes! Dogs are allowed to join us on the course and in the event area. Please keep your pet(s) leashed at all times for the safety of your pet and other event participants.
For people with cancer or those with compromised immune systems, the CDC and NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Network) still recommends wearing a mask, social distancing, washing your hands, avoiding crowds, and other preventive measures.
On Saturday, May 11, 2024, we will race for the people who can't: For those too weakened by treatment to join. For those who are suffering. For those we have lost. Together we will fight back against breast cancer.
