This is my first year participating in Race for the Cure and it will be memorable as I am walking as a SURVIVOR! One year ago today, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and it was so scary not knowing what my path was going to look like. This past year has been the hardest of my life with surgeries, complications, many doctor's appointments and therapy as I am still working to heal and recover physically, mentally and emotionally. This past year has also made me incredibly grateful for the many blessings in my life of a wonderful and supportive husband, kids, best friend, family, friends and co-workers! Every text, phone call, visit, prayer and positive thought have made such an impact and is appreciated beyond words.
So I ask, please consider supporting me in raising money to find a cure for breast cancer. I am hopeful that we will find a cure and spare future generations from having to hear the difficult words "You have cancer...." and fight the fight.
