In 2022 I heard the dreaded words "You Have Cancer". I was devastated initially, but once I allowed myself time to process, I allowed the devastation to empower me and the fight began. Surrounded by my husband, kids, my dad, my cousin, Andrew's family, friends, colleagues, doctors and nurses, I won the battle. I endured nearly a year of treatment including chemo and radiation. I came out on the other end stronger than I could've ever imagined. I will forever be grateful for all the love and support I received and continue to receive. I am also very thankful for the amazing care I received through Ohio State's Spielman Breast Center.
I am not alone in the fight. 1 in 8 people are diagnosed with breast cancer and I know so many personally impacted by this horrible disease.
This year, I joined the ONE Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen RACE FOR THE CURE. I am dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get ONE step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
In moments like this, your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
