My Story

This will be our third year walking in the Komen Race for the Cure walk as I celebrate being both a breast cancer and thyroid cancer survivor.

I walk in honor of my aunt who lost her battle to breast cancer.

I walk to celebrate being declared NED (no evidence of disease).

I walk in honor and support of many friends/coworkers/family members who are survivors, care takers of loved ones affected by cancer, and those who are just starting their cancer journey.

I walk to promote early detection, especially in young women.

I walk for my two daughters who will start their breast cancer screenings at age 26.

I walk in faith knowing each dollar raised is a step closer to a cure!
