This year I am celebrating 22 years of being cancer free since my first diagnosis of breast cancer. Yes, I was diagnosed with breast cancer again in January 2024. Despite the initial shock, advancements in breast cancer treatments significantly improved my recent experience with breast cancer. In only a few weeks after surgery, I was back to my regular routine and could avoid any further treatments except for aromatase inhibitor medication.
Your support helps us get ONE step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and help those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s treatment assistance program, or help to navigate their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
