2026 Komen Dallas North Texas Race for the Cure

As I celebrate the final phase of my breast cancer treatment, five and a half years after my diagnosis, I want to join with my fellow survivors in raising money for research. My Herceptin/ Kanginti infusion treatment was FDA approved 28 years ago and, as a result, has played a large role in saving my life. Recently, I was told by my medical oncologist that I can stop taking the daily estrogen blocker that I have been taking for five years. The lumpectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and Kangini infusions occurred during the pandemic, and now in 2026, I am released from the daily reminder of my cancer.
