Why I'm Running
This October, I'll be running the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K - not just for the miles, but for the mission.
As a breast cancer survivor, this race is deeply personal to me.
There was a time in my life when the word "cancer" stopped everything. The appointments. The treatments. The fear. The unknown. But there was also strength I didn't know I had, support from people who carried me when I couldn't carry myself, and hope that never let go.
I'm running because I know what it feels like to sit in a doctor's office and wait.
I'm running because early detection matters.
I'm running because research matters.
I'm running because no one should walk through this alone.
Every dollar raised supports life-saving research, patient support, and community programs that help families like mine.
Why Your Support Matters
Breast cancer doesn't just affect one person - it affects families, children, marriages, and entire communities.
Your donation:
Helps fund groundbreaking research
Provides support services for patients in treatment
Promotes early detection and education
Gives hope to those newly diagnosed
Whether you give $5 or $500, you are making a difference.
My Promise:
On race day, every step I take will be in honor of:
Survivors
Those currently fighting
Those we've lost
And those who will hear the words "you have breast cancer" tomorrow
I would be honored if you would support me.
Let's turn survival into strength.
Let's turn fear into funding.
Let's turn pink into POWER.
Thank you for standing with me.
