Welcome to My Personal Page

For the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working at Komen. I’ve spent my time here talking about breast cancer and helping tell the stories of people impacted by it.

Then, in November 2024, I was diagnosed with breast cancer myself.

After four surgeries, I have a very different understanding of what a breast cancer diagnosis really means. I thought I knew. I didn’t. I didn’t know how much it would change my life, my perspective, or how much you need the right people and resources around you when you’re going through it.

I was lucky. I had access to the resources and support I needed. But I know that’s not true for everyone.

In a strange way, it turns out I was exactly where I needed to be for this part of my life. Working at Komen for seven years gave me a front-row seat to the work we do, but going through breast cancer myself has made me even more invested in our mission and in making sure no one has to face this alone.

This year, I’m once again taking part in our Race for the Cure and raising money for a something that is more personal to me than ever.
