Cara's Story

This year, I am joining the Komen community in participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure NYC, with team Miles for Cara Mia. After being diagnosed with breast cancer last year at the age of 36, I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer, forever.

With 1 in 8 women getting breast cancer in their lifetime, and increasing numbers of young women being diagnosed with this aggressive disease, more funding is imperative. The money raised will fund research to discover more effective and improved treatments, as well as vital support and resources for patients.

As with many other survivors, my battle is not over. Please join us in this fight by making a donation today--in honor of everyone who has faced and continues to fight this battle.
