I’m participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure because breast cancer has touched my life in ways I will never forget. As a breast cancer survivor, I know firsthand the fear, uncertainty, strength, and resilience that come with this journey. I am incredibly grateful for the support, love, and care that helped me through my own experience, and I carry that gratitude with me every day.
I walk not only for myself, but also for two incredible women who continue to inspire me with their courage and strength.
I walk for my Aunt Maria, who is currently facing breast cancer for the second time and is in active treatment. Her journey is a true testament to strength, courage, and resilience. To face this diagnosis again takes a level of bravery that is beyond words. Through every challenge, she continues to show incredible determination and grace. I walk beside her with love, admiration, and hope, knowing the strength it takes to fight this battle once again.
I also walk for my dear friend Stephanie, who is also currently in active treatment. Steph’s courage, positivity, and strength throughout her journey inspire me every day. She continues to face each step with incredible resilience, and I am honored to stand beside her, support her, and remind her that she is never alone. Her fight represents the strength and hope of so many people going through breast cancer right now.
This race is about more than crossing a finish line. It is about celebrating survivors, standing alongside those currently fighting, honoring those we have lost, and supporting the research, resources, and advancements that bring us closer to a future without breast cancer.
If you are able, I would be grateful for your support of my fundraiser. Every donation helps provide hope, patient support, education, and lifesaving research for those affected by breast cancer.
Thank you for standing with me, with my Aunt Maria, with Steph, and with every person whose life has been touched by breast cancer. Together, we can make a difference.
