CureRageous is More Than Pink

This is team CureRageous 2nd Annual Walk for the Cure.

In August 2025, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

From the beginning, I refused to see myself as a victim. I saw myself as a survivor. I wanted a fighting chance, and I was willing to do what I needed to do to give myself that chance.

I was facing this without medical insurance, which added another layer of fear and uncertainty. But by God's grace, doors opened, and I was able to receive the care I needed. I made a very personal decision about my treatment. It was my choice, and I stand by it.

Throughout my journey, I chose to move in silenced, to step away from the noise, opinions, and expectations of others and listen to that still, quiet voice guiding me. I learned that your journey is your journey, and sometimes you have to trust yourself and the direction God is giving you.

Today, I am cancer-free.

That is why my team is CURERAGEOUS.

CURE represents what I was determined to fight for.
RAGEOUS represents the anger I felt toward a disease that changed my life, but also the determination I found within that anger.

Now I Race for the Cure to bring awareness, encourage others facing breast cancer, and help move us closer to a cure.

CURE the disease.
RAGE against cancer.
Race with COURAGE.

If you can, join me, donate, or simply share my story.

Every step matters.

This year, we walk together in gratitude for my family, in honor of everyone affected by breast cancer, and in hope that one day no family will have to face this diagnosis.

As a member of this team, we are each playing a part in helping Susan G. Komen®ï¸ in their mission to end breast cancer forever.

The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments for breast cancer. Additionally, it will provide vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education and information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.

Ending breast cancer needs all of us. United together, we can support those who need help today, while fearlessly searching for tomorrow's cures.

Please join us in this fight by making your donation today.
