A Promise Kept: Running to End Breast Cancer

This year, I registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure with a purpose that is deeply personal to my heart.


Coming up on a year now, I lost someone very dear to me to breast cancer. She fought with incredible strength, grace, and courage all the way through her very last day. Before she passed, I made her a promise: that I would carry on her remembrance, honor her spirit, and run for her.


Every step I take in this race is keeping that promise alive.
