Earlier this year, my world completely changed when my beautiful sister, Sylvia, passed away. Though she is no longer physically with us, her incredible light still shines so brightly in our lives.
It’s surreal to look back and realize I did my very first run for this cause right before she was even diagnosed, having no idea what was to come. For 11 years, Sylvia fought an unimaginable battle, beginning with breast cancer that later metastasized. Through it all, she was a warrior.
That’s exactly why I want this upcoming run to be a true celebration of her. I’m running to honor her beautiful spirit, her resilience, and every single victory she claimed during those 11 years.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer who need our support.
