Twenty years ago, I started running to cope with losing my mom, Rosamaria Castilleja, to triple negative breast cancer. What began as grief turned into purpose. What began as one race became a yearly promise — to honor her, to fight for others, and to keep her memory alive.
Over time, I've watched science evolve. I've seen new treatments emerge for the very cancer that took her from us. Every advancement reminds me why I run: because progress is possible, because families deserve better, and because hope matters.
Thank you for standing with me through this journey, especially now with my little family by my side. I run so her grandchildren know her strength. I run so they understand the courage she carried. I run so her story continues.
If you're able to give, your support means more than you know. It brings us closer to a world where no family has to lose someone the way we lost her.
